Yellowish brown Hymenoscyphus on herb
Juuso Äikäs, 13-07-2022 06:14
I inspected a boggy depression at the side of a forest road and found a cluster of a few fruitbodies of some Hymenoscyphus like sessile fungus. They were growing on a piece of decayed herb.

Asci 8-spored, without croziers, IKI+(bb). Top parts of paraphyses full of small VBs. Spores 15.9 - 19.5 × 4.7 - 5.4 µm.

What did I find this time?

This is Pachydisca fulvidula, now Phaeohelotium fulvidulum.

Damn, once agan a species I've found before, but failed to make the connection. I've found this previously on woody substrates (a fallen branch and a Picea cone). The habitat was similar with those findings. Thanks again.
