Hymenoscyphus-like on bark
Juuso Äikäs, 17-06-2022 20:05
I found these pale yellow-brown fruitbodies yesterday, growing on a piece of thin deciduous bark.

Asci 8-spored, without croziers, IKI+(bb). Paraphyses and margin with VBs. The spores measure 8.1 - 10.2 × 3.1 - 3.8 µm.

Any idea what this is?

I also guess. Often it has a longer stipe with blackened basem not sure how here.

But the lacking croziers are very typical, and the subcylindrical spores.

Re : Hymenoscyphus-like on bark
Ok, now I see it. I've found this actually before a couple times. The relatively dry habitat and a bit unusual appearance fooled me this time. These do have a stipe -- short and stubby in this case. Thank you both.
