I'll post further images tomorrow but wondered whether anyone had ever seen anything like this.
It superficially resembles Cryptocoryneum and Dictyosporium but surely doesn't belong to either. The key factor is that it appears to originate from pycnidia which are exposed by cracks in the bamboo cortex, such as one sees with Scirrhia species. Conidia average 25-30µm from "wrist" to "fingertip".
