?Pezizale that I can't ID.
Zuidland Peter, 22-07-2021 08:40
I found these today on Eucalyptus bark, apos to 2.5cm. These do not appear in Rifai's work on Australian Pezizales, something I have not seen before, am I on the wrong track?

Asci: 381-388 x 14.9-16.4um, amyloid, bases in images
Spores: 15.9 - 19.3(17.1) x  7.8 - 9.4(8.5)um, smooth

Sth.Gippsland, Victoria, Australia
Many thanks
Peter

Hi Peter
It looks as an Aleurina... But I don't know which one...
Cheers,
Raúl

Re : ?Pezizale that I can't ID.
Hello,
macroscopically it looks very similar to Peziza obtusapiculata or other Peziza with apiculate spore ornamentation. Might it be that the spore ornamentation is still very unripe?
all the best,Andreas

Re : ?Pezizale that I can't ID.
Thank you very much Andreas and Raul.

Ok, an unripe specimen, I can go back to get more samples to see how they develop over time.
A great help.

Cheers

Peter

Upps! I overlooked the faint amyloid reaction... I'm a bit untrained... Sorry...
