Another Capronia

Hi All,

Today I found a Capronia species on a fallen decorticated branch of Acer pseudoplatanus. The five-septate ascospores were lacking longitudinal septa and measured 19-21x5-6 and some setae >70. It seems to key out as C. montana but I am relatively new to this genus and would welcome confirmation.

Best wishes,

Charles.

Re : Another Capronia
Hello Charles

I'm a bit confused - those spores are not aseptate - did you mean not muriform/without longitudinal septa?

Hi Chris,

Yes, that's what I meant and have amended accordingly.
