2 weeks ago I found this Asco on a possibly Fagus wood.
The spores seem to have a gel coat.
Do you have any idea what this could be ?

This looks too banal. Perhaps a Hyaloscypha without hairs?

I don't know, but I always associate Hyaloscypha with the presence of hairs.

That's right, but ITS showed that hairless or almost so species such as H. minuta (earlier Parorbiliopsis) fuly fall in the genus and closely resemble those with distinct hairs.

This is very interesting and helps me with another asco where I now think it is a Hyaloscypha minuta.

Zotto, I'm probably wrong, but don't you think a lot of the details are very similar to Ciliolarina pinicola, except of course the substrate?
Such a loose association, because the photos do not show all the features.

Mirek, I am not sure. Ciliolarina has VBs, though not very distinct, and brownish rough hairs. Also it is drought-tolerant, I guess this one less so.

Not everything suited this genre for me too, but that was my first association and I wanted to know on the basis of what features did you reject this genre?
I was only suggesting a similarity to Ciliolarina pinicola. The Thorben collection is definitely not her, the croziers are clearly visible here.
