Hi!Found this one in sweden some days ago.
that that it would be R. formosum but asci react blue not red in Lugols.
Spores 10-11 x 3-3,5 um with some olidrops. some spores twocelled. Some sporeends react red with lugols as in formosum, maybe all but hard see.
I see on the web its a collection from spain that have blue reactions on asci.
maybe same or is it a variation on formosum?
host moss is Ceratodon purpureus.
anyone knows moore about it?
regards

Re : roseodiscus sp?
Yes, there is a collection by Enrique, ERD-6978 on Ceratodon purpureus, which reacts blue (BB) and deviates from R. formosus by 2.7% in the ITS. Other differences are hard to see.
Since typical R. formosus reacts pure red (type RR), there seems indication that your sample belongs to the Spanish one.
Did you collect yours in Scandinavia?

Re : roseodiscus sp?
Hi!
As you say it was like any another r. Formosum But Asci reactions are blue instead.
Yes the find is from Halland in Sweden, scandinavia on sandy basepoor habitat.
This is great, i will put it in the herbaria uppsala as roseodiscus sp.
Best regards,
Robin

Re : roseodiscus sp?
Thanks! It is a pity that you did mocroscopy only on the dried sample.
