Olla on Pinus bark?
Juuso Äikäs, 30-05-2020 20:01
I pulled off some thick bark from a Pinus sylvestris stump and found these growing on the inner surface of the bark.

The glassy, dextrinoid outer hairs would point to Olla, if I'm not mistaken. I found some info about Olla species but their substrate was either hardwood or herbacious stems.

Spore measurements:
(6.4) 6.5 - 7.5 (8.2) × 2 - 2.37 (2.4) µm
Q = (2.9) 3 - 3.5 (3.6) ; N = 10
Me = 7.1 × 2.2 µm ; Qe = 3.3

Is there an Olla species that grows on Pinus bark or is this something else?

Re : Olla on Pinus bark?
I started to have doubts about the stump... could this be Betula instead? There's a small Betula next to it...

Presumably Olla scrupulosa.
