A good question! I am not sure if all finds in my folder juniperina are conspecific, and I wonder why we did not mention H. juniperina when describing junipericola.
I see the following:
juniperina: asci H+, apos with a lid, preferably on leaves
junipericola: asci H-, apos without a lid, preferably on bark

Merci beaucoup Zotto.
Lors de la dernière session ascomycete.org en zone alpine, on a fait plusieurs récoltes et on a conclu à Hysterostegiella juniperina, sans connaître l'existence de Cenangiopsis junipericola.
Récolte du 28/08/2018, commune d'Huez (Isère - France) sur branches de Juniperus communis subsp. nana
Ascospores : 5-6 x 2-2,5 µm, elliptiques à cylindriques, hyalines, sans goutte ou avec des granulations aux pôles, lisses.
Asques : 60-80 x 6-8 µm, cylindriques, atténués à la base, avec crochet, à sommet amyloïde, inoperculés, contenant huit spores bisériées ou irrégulièrement disposées.
Paraphyses : lancéolées, dépassant longuement les asques, contenant une grosse vacuole jaune olivâtre.
Poils : cylindriques à clavés, relativement courts, septés, avec des cristaux, entièrement bruns ou avec le sommet hyalin chez ceux de la marge.
Donc sur bois et avec crochet...

It is really complicated. There is another species, Cenangiopsis raghavanii, which has croziers and grows on bark. I send you the paper by mail which you probably do not have.
It also contains a table of the characters.

C'est compliqué, cela ressemble énormément à Cenangiopsis junipericola mais il y a des crochets.
La marge finement ciliée, la forme des spores et les asques trop grands ne vont pas pour C. raghavanii...
Hysterostegiella juniperina reste une possibilité...

Ah you think Hysterostegiella is possible, but there is no lid? Aren't there special hairs at the margin in that genus? But my guess is that the two genera should be merged. You don't have the possibility to send for sequencing? I am sure, Kadri would do that. Shall I ask her?
