Penicilliopsis clavariaformis or africana?
Andreas Gminder, 03-02-2020 00:00
Andreas GminderHello,

trying to identify a pretty big clavarioid-looking anamorph from Ethiopia, I would need the paper by

Samson, R.A.; Seifert, K.A. 1985. The ascomycete genus Penicilliopsis and its anamorphs. :397-428

It looks a lot like Sarophorum palmicola, but the Synnemata look a bit different in colour and also they are much more branched. SO may be it is the anamorph of Penicilliopsis africana?

If someone has SAMSON & SEIFERT (1985), I would be very grateful to see a picture and description of Penicilliopsis africana and it anamorph.

thank and all the best,
Andreas
