Hi
They grew on a dead shoot that grew from a stump of a young tree / shrub

Lugol (-)
Do you have any ideas?

Re : Ascomycete on wood?
Very nice fungus and docu! An angiosperm stump?
An Unguiculariopsis, a crazy genus because it is often impossible to give names.

Re : Ascomycete on wood?
Hi Zotto.
A deciduous tree.
If you have time for him, I can send. The fruiting bodies were taken with wood. Maybe you could define its genre?
If you don't have time, I'll take pictures of wood. But it's not today.

Re : Ascomycete on wood?
Impossible for me to study anything. And the species will not be identified, I guess, your docu is good. You can compare my folder, it is weird.... I think progress is only possible by cautious docus and sequencing.

Re : Ascomycete on wood?
Hi Zotto.
I have reviewed your disc and after comparing the features I come to the conclusion that it best suits my finding of Unguiculariopsis marsoni. Another species that macroscopically, maybe even more similar to mine is U. robergeri.
U. robergeri, however, not all the features fit this.
The microscopic features of my collection perfectly match the Unguiculariopsis-marsonii-180103-TR-MCol collection presented on your disk.
The only difference I could see was a bit wider ascus ... for me up to 16um.
I wonder if you share my opinion ??
Regards
Mirek

Re : Ascomycete on wood?
Indeed I also remembered this marsonii when I saw your pics, without looking at my folders. But I am far from havin a concept for this genus.
