Django Grootmyers, 20-01-2020 07:30
Django GrootmyersGrowing on a dead, shrivelled portion of a Phlebia incarnata. Fruiting bodies scattered, smooth, superficial, lacking an obvious subiculum and somewhat translucent. Ascocarp measurements: (128.3) 145.3 – 241.2 (278.1) × (110.5) 115.6 – 192.4 (242.6) µm, Q = 1 – 1.4 (1.5); N = 30, Me = 192.8 × 161 µm; Qe = 1.2. All structures inamyloid. Ectal excipulum of hyaline textura angularis. Paraphyses filiform with clavate to irregularly knobby and ocasionally branched and/or septate apices. Asci bitunicate and 8-spored. Spores hyaline, smooth and up to 3-septate, some germinating in the asci or outside and producing straight or irregularly branched germ tubes from the terminal segments. Spore measurements: (7.6) 9.1 – 12.8(14.6) × (2.7) 2.9 – 3.6 (4.3) µm, Q = (2.6) 2.8 – 3.9 (4.6); N = 30, Me = 11 × 3.3 µm; Qe = 3.4.
