Amicodisca svrcekii?
Juuso Äikäs, 02-08-2019 22:45
I found these on a piece of a fallen branch of a deciduous tree. The spores measured 8-10 x 3 microns. Earlier this year I found A. virella in the same place. A. virella had spores twice as long, more narrow and pointy in shape and different bubble orientation. Also the size of the apos was much smaller with virella. Do you think I'm right?

Re : Amicodisca svrcekii?
Yes, I think so. Apothecial size is variable in Amicodisca, for A. virella I have 0.25-0.7 mm and for A. svrcekii in one sample 0.25-0.3 mm and in another 1 mm.

But you should check the ascus base: in both species exist perhaps rare variats which have croziers!

Alright, thanks. I'll keep that in mind!
