Boudier in 1917 describes Lamprospora lutziana and cites that the collector was D. Lutz, do you know anything about D. Lutz, who was he?

Hi Rubén,

possibly "D. Lutz" is a typo for "L. Lutz". Louis Lutz was the president of the Société mycologique de France at that time.

Update: now I see an original text. It is "le Dr Lutz". So it is most certainly Louis Lutz, docteur de pharmacie. Boudier cited his name in the Latin diagnosis, so "D." stands here for Doctor as well.

In the end it seems that it was Doctor Lutz.


Lothar, yes, I found L. Lutziana in Spain last year.
