black immersed anamorph on twig
Ethan Crenson, 05-03-2019 07:17
Found under Platanus occidentalis, although I can't prove that the twig comes from that tree.  A mostly immersed anamorph showing black eruptions at the apex of a swollen pustule beneath the bark layer.  When hydrated they began to extrude gelatinous threads of conidia.  The conidia are hyaline, allantoid measuring about 6.5-8 x 1.5-2µm.  Does this look familiar to anyone in this forum?

Thanks,

Ethan
