Black erumpent anamorph

Found in New York City recently on what I believe is a branch of Fagus. A black anamorph erumpent through the bark. The fruiting bodies reach about 1mm in diameter. Some are irregularly shaped. The conidia are hyaline, ellipsoid with somewhat acute ends, usually 1-septate 16-21 x 3.5-4µm. Any assistance would be appreciated.
