Margot en Geert VullingsThis cup fungus was found on the ground in a damp

... found at 09.10.2007 near Munich (Bavaria - NSG Echinger Lohe) on a lying deciduous log, likely Fraxinus (so I noted then).
Today I took a look on the specimen - and was a little bit surprised, because I arrived at Nemania carbonacea.
I used the synoptic key at http://pyrenomycetes.free.fr/nemania/keydir/synoptickey.htm and with the characters I found I came to only this result: "Perithecial mounds conspicuous, Asci IKI+(blue), Asci long-stipitate, Ascospores 8-15/more than 4 (I measured about 10-14/4,5-6), darb brown and smooth, with a spore-length germ-pore that is quite conspicuous and on the less convex side.
The only doubt I have concerns N. diffusa - because the fotos on this site show quite conspicuous mounds of the perithecia there - so this could perhaps be more likely diffusa?
Maybe somebody can help me :-) - and maybe I am totally lost (?)
Best regards, Lothar
P.S. All fotos besides the very last I made today - this very last one directly after the find in 2007. As one can see, the spores are still living :-)
cheers
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
thank you very much for your opinion - so I will name the specimen diffusa (if nobody else will contradict). Diffusa is also a nice find, at least to me.
Best regards, Lothar

Hello Thomas,
I found this thread and want to add pictures of a Nemania from last week. I also get to Nemania carbonacea. Unfortunately I have not collected so much, as I thought it would be something to old ...
The Ascus was Melzer positive like N. colliculosa.
