Pyreno on Quercus ilex
Joaquin Martin, 05-01-2019 10:10
Hi,

I found this Pyreno on bark of alive Quercus ilex

Bitunicate and inamiloid asci.
The spores measures are 22-25 x 9-10 always with three septa.
At first I thought it could be navicella but there are some things don't add up.
Does anyone have any idea.

Thanks.

Joaquin.

HI Joaquin,

Your fungus could be Thyridaria maculans = Lophiosptoma maculans

All the best,

Christian
