Saccobolus minimus
Joop van der Lee, 18-12-2018 22:01
Joop van der LeeFound on cow dung close to S. citrinus.
Fruitbody not disk shaped but ripe asci spreading out.
Not possible to measure asci.
Spore clusters: 29.75-32.95x10.95-11.20 um.
Spores: 12.5-14.65x5.8-6.6 um, covered with fine warts.
Paraphyses: Tops of asci with yellow filling when not spreading (photo 1&2), this will disappear when asci spread out (photo 3&4) and septated paraphyses will then be hyaline.

Pattern when under cover glass will remain conpact and do not have the pattern of S. citrinus with the same spreading asci.

Re : Saccobolus minimus?
Yes, Saccobolus minimus - what else should it be?

I also find this species often together with Saccobolus citrinus.
