Arachnocrea stipata - Species Description
Peter Thompson, 02-11-2018 16:12
Hello to Everyone,

I have been sent a sample of what I believe is likely to be Arachnocrea stipata and wonder if anyone has a species description of this taxon?

I see pointed, conical part spores, which seems to rule out the genus Protocrea. Also, there is a blue reaction to lugol at the ascus tips and no KOH reaction of the fruit body itself.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thank You,
Peter Thompson.

Dear Peter,

I don't have the description of Moravec but Fuckel's only (attached).
