Sven HeinzHello together,

does anyone have any idea what that Cercophora might be?
Substrat: wild pig
Fruitbody: 250 x 250 µ, sunk in the substrate

Asci: 220 x 20 µ, 8 spored, biseriat, no iodine reaktion
Spore head: 25 x 8 µ

Pedicel: 32 - 35 x 5 µ

caudae apical: 20 x 2 µ

caudae basal: 35 X 2 - 3 µ

Greetings Sven

Re : Cercophora
Cercophora anisura, although your ascospore lengths are a bit longer than those reported for C. anisura.  Could be C. mirabilis, but the caudae should be equal length in this species.  See Lundqvist 1972.

Re : Cercophora
Good evening!

Maybe you could if you can give us more details on the globule, the hairs of the cervix, and the perithecie if there are any; also the length of the spore appendages, as Andrew says!

Michel.

Re : Cercophora
Good evening,

i suspect it is C. anisera with to long spores! The cells on the neck have a size of 5 - 7 µ. The hairs are septate and have a wide of 2 - 3 µ. The spore appendages apical 20 x 2 µ and basal 35 x 2 - 3 µ. Obviously the substrate also speaks against mirabilis.

Greetings Sven
