a few weeks ago we found this small Peziza with small ascospores on an old forest road next to a stream on sandy soil. The apothecia have a somewhat granulous outside and a very slight violet hue, especially in the very young fruitbody and close to the margin in the older ones. The ascospores are smooth, measure about 16.7-17.5 x 9-9.5 µm, and they have a conspicuous sheath on one side. The asci react strongly in Lugol, even down the ascus walls. The excipulum seems to consist entirely of +- globose/slightly angular cells.
Thanks for any ideas!
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Unknown Peziza
Y a-t-il des crochets à la base des asques ?

I will have to look at the photos again tomorrow, I think I documented it but forgot to mention it.
