pyrenomycete on Pistacia in the Algarve
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 02-02-2018 19:31

... collected near Portimao, only few meters from the sea shore (South Coast), at a fallen twig of/under Pistacia lentiscus, 26.12.2017.

I am quite sure this is a Diatrypaceae, maybe an Eutypella (?).

Who can help me?

Best regards from Lothar

Hi Lothar,

Is it possible to see a vertical cut of the stroma ? Zoom in it will be well.  Entostroma is white, isn't it ? It reminds me Eutypella leprosa, or E. caricae, but ascospores are here too much little.

Alain

Hello Alain,

thank you very much for your proposals. I will try to do the section and will post again, then.

Best regards

Lothar

Hello Alain,

today I made the sections - sorry for the long delay.

As you suggested, the entostroma is white. One can see it well, although the fotos are not good. This is a bit too much for my camera ...

Do you come to more conclusions now?

Thanks and best regards, Lothar
