Re : Hysterioid ? growing on pyrenomycete
                This could be Immotthia atrograna.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Hysterioid ? growing on pyrenomycete
What about Immothia hypoxylon since it is growing on an old species of Hypoxylon?

Immotthia hypoxylon is a synonym of I. atrograna according to Jaklitsch et al.: https://www.zobodat.at/pdf/OestZPilz_11_0093-0106.pdf

Re : Hysterioid ? growing on pyrenomycete
This past weekend in a park at the opposite end of NYC I found what looked like Immotthia atrograna.  Again, tiny clusters of black globose fruiting bodies growing on the stromata of some sort of Hypoxylon.  But this time rather than asci and brown didymospores, I found an anamorph with light brown unseptate conidia with (usually) two oil droplets, measuring (6) 7.5 - 9 (12) by 4 - 4.5?m.  But this is just the anamorph of I. atrograna, is it not?
