Hi Per, if you want a name you need to be more explicit because there is more than one Rosellinia spp.
Is 2 mm the diameter of a single stroma?
What is the host?
dimensions and shape of the apical apparatus, in iodine
Do the spores have a germ slit? Lenght, location and shape are needed.
Do ascospores have cellular appendages and/or slimy caps? Is there a slimy sheath around ascospores?, to be checked in India ink.
With this information you should find a name in Petrini's papers, Sydowia 41 and 44, available on the internet.
Good luck,
Jacques

            Re : Pyrenomycet on hardwood.
I have found Rosellinia aquila in British Ascomycetes which seems to be my fungus!
It has been found a few times here in Norway before.
Thank you for help.
Per.
