In the Bronx, Pelham Bay Park, New York, US. Brown cup about 3cm in diameter and 3cm tall. Velvety hairy outer surface, hairs brown, septate. Tan inner surface. Ribbed stem buried below the ground. Spores 28-30 x 12-14µm, roughly warted, oil droplets. Paraphyses septate. Is this Jafnea semitosta?
Thank you.

Re : Jafnea semitosta ?
It seems correct, although it will be better to show ascospores in cotton blue, the spore ornamentation is better seen in this medium.

Juglans nigra were found at European records (Austrian, Czech, Hngarian).
In your region?

Re : Jafnea semitosta ?
Zoltan, Juglans nigra is certainly present in the area where this collection was found. But this collection was made under Oak.
