Trichonectria-like fungus
Eduard Osieck,

I need some help with the following collection growing on dead ?lichen on wood (Ulmus):
- small yellow orange, ovoid ascomata (0,15-0,19 mm) with
- hyaline apical setae 45-65 um
- long in the asci spirally intertwinned spores (80 x 3-4 um)
- ascoma wall textura angularis
I considered Trichonectria (with hyaline setae) hirta but the spore size does not match (45-85 x 5-8 um). Another option would be Tubeufia paludosa but that genus has dark coloured setae. Does anyone has a suggestion to investigate further?
Any help would be appreciated, Eduard

Re : Trichonectria-like fungus
Hi Eduard,
How are the asci?
Tubeufiaceae have bitunicate asci whereas Hypocreales have unitunicate asci

Christian

Hi Christian,
Of course, that is very relevant. I assume it was unitunicate. That would rule out Tubeufia cs.
Thanks for your attention,
Best regards, Eduard
