Pithoascus nidicola on rabbit dung?
Sven Heinz, 04-03-2017 11:33
Sven HeinzHello everybody,

are you also of the opinion that this is Pithoascus nidicola? Has anyone already experience this kind? I found it on dwarf rabbit dung.

Fruitbody: ca. <= 1 mm x 1 mm

Spore cluster: 17 x 7 µ, 8 spores

Spore: 7 x 3 µ, iodine reaction pale yellow

Greetings Sven

Re : Pithoascus nidicola on rabbit dung?

Hello Sven!

Specimen very interesting! I do not know this species, normally non-ostiolated, but according to the key of Arx it seems to correspond to P. nidicola. Maybe on this forum someone else will be able to confirm if he was lucky enough to have found it.

Michel.
