Gilbert
as you write: Octospora affinis on Orthotrichum (cf.) affine ist correct.
The original publication (Benkert and me) has no key but a small table that compares with wrightii and hygrohypnophila. I tried to add it here but it is too big ....

Hello together,
in the same issue of Z. Mykol. there is a second paper about O. affinis. Benkert did not want to have all this in his publication ...
Best regards from Lothar
P.S. Both publications should also be findable in ResearchGate
Best regards,
Bernard

(I hope Google Translater worked good ...)
