Genea sphaerica ?
Thorben Hülsewig, 24-03-2016 20:56
Hi there,
today i found in a mixed forest (Quercus/Fagus) this truffle.
Can it be that there is a Genea sphaerica ?

best regards,
Thorben

Is it possible to see the spores in Cotton Blue? It's important to see clearly the ornaments.

Nicolas is right. Images of mature ascospores in cotton blue are needed, but I think your fungus is not G. sphaerica that has memisphaerical tubercles as you can see   http://www.ascofrance.fr/search_recolte/2304

The truffles I have now been sent to an expert in Germany.
He thinks it could be possibly Genea verrucosa.
Here are the last pictures that i have made in cotton blue.

Hi Thorben

We need more pics of the ascospores profile for to observe better their ornamentation
