Viktorie HalasuHello forum, I have a question about Starbäck's
Hello,
Â
today I found a small white Hyaloscyphaceae on bark of a lying twig of Fagus, in the direct vicinity of Diatrype decorticata.
Annoyingly I found this species already last year here in the Bavarian Forest several times, and this year they occur again on the very same twigs as last year.
Â
As I don't arrive at a determination, I would be very grateful for a help on this.
Â
Apothecia pure white, not discolouring, pruinose to slightly tomentose, margin lobate with age.
Asci appr. 65/5 µm, with croziers, reddish-blueish in Barals (dirty violett).
Spores 7-8 x 2,2-2,5 µm biguttulate
Paraphyses cylindrical, with refringent content .
Hairs at the margin difficult to detect, very similar to the paraphyses, with refringent content in upper half
Excipulum built of textura oblita (!)
Â
thank you for any hints.
best regards,
Andreas
