It was 3 mm across with short hairs.
The hairs were septate and up to 380 x 21 but mostly shorter, some flexuous. Roots were either simple or bi-furcate. There were also short thin walled "hairs" mixed in with the normal hairs.
The spores were sub globose to broadly ovate. The average of 15 spores (16.5) 17.6 (18.8) x (14.5) 15.1 (15.5). There were a mixture of individual and merged low wide warts on the spores and there was very little evidence of a loosening of the spore wall when heated in LCB.
Asci 303x20.
The shape and size of the hairs and spores does not seem to fit with any species well.
Can anyone suggest what it might be.
Thanks
Mal
Have you been able to observe and measure the height and width of the warts? It does not distinguish very well in the photos, but it seems they are quite prominent.
Michel.
The individual warts are mostly 1 - 1.8 across by less than 1 high. The merged warts are up to 3 across.

Michel.
This configuration of warts reminds me more S. patagonica, but the marginal hairs should be more elongated (they can reach 1000 µm) and spores are also a bit larger.
So no other idea.
Merci de ton avis; j'avais avançé l'idée de S.minor sans conviction aucune ne sachant pas trop où aller. Peut être Malcolm pourra t il faire d'autres photos!
Michel.
Nicolas
Here are a few more photos. The hairs still around the 300 length. A few more photos but still no obvious candidate (for me anyway).
Thanks again
Mal
