2015-05-09 On deadwood of Fraxinus
Lepista Zacarias, 12-05-2015 21:43
Dear all,
In this fungus everything is small and clearly my microscope is not adequate for stuying it. Here are what I could understand:
- Growing on a branch in decomposition of fraxinus;
- Apothecia white (shiny) growing from the decomposing wood;
- Asci of approximate dimensions 35-48 x 3-4.5 µm;
- Spores of approximate dimensions  5-6 x 2-2.5 µm.
I attach some photos of the specimen and of the microscopy.
Maybe someone can indicate, at least, a genus for it.
Thanks in advance,
zaca

Sorry, I cannot say. It needs a distinctly higher magnification (oil immersion), also are there any hairs?

And better mounting in water when the apos are still fresh

Thanks, Zotto, for the prompt reply.
I understand that not much can be said. It really needs more magnification.
