Geopora from Mallorca
Ralph Vandiest, 11-04-2015 15:25
Ralph Vandiest

Hello,

I found this geopora in S'albufera (ES). Ascomata 30 mm wide and 40mm high. Outside brown, hymeniun beige with grey. Spores 22/25x14,5/16,5µm. W/L ratio (10x): 1,7. Asci 8-spored. Spored in asci have sometimes 2 guttules, but mostly only 1 large. Spores outside asci always 1 guttule. Excipulum was hard to examine as too much sand at the outside of the acomata.

Could this be G arenicola?

Regards,

Ralph

Re : Geopora from Mallorca
With such a large size, it could be Sepultaria foliacea (= Geopora f.). The spores size agree with this hypothesis.
