Re : Arnium sudermanniae?
Hello Joop,

I'm not sure with Arnium sudermanniae.

It's necessary to study the ascus tips and the number of germ pores too!
Are the asci with or without an apical ring? Are there one or two germ pores?
If they have an apical ring, there seems to be no doubt about A. sudermanniae.
Otherwise it also could be A. hirtum without visible hairs.

I'm also not satisfied with the substrate.
All my gatherings of A. sudermanniae I did on dung of cervids (7 roe deer, 3 deer).

I've never seen it on horse dung!

Best regards

Norbert

Thanks Norbert, I will look if I can find another species and make a more thorough investigation.

Merry Christmas,
