Nectria-like on bark of Fagus
Bernard Declercq, 08-08-2014 17:02
Bernard DeclercqHi,

Yesterday, I collected a Nectria-like ascomycete on bark of Fagus:
Ascomata erumpent-superficial in groups of 10-25, globose, papillate, not collapsing, 0,25 mm diam., dark reddish, rugulose, IKI-. Asci cylindrical, 8-sp., sp. 1-ser., 68-73x3,5 µm. Spores fusiform, rounded ends, 8-10,5x2-2,5(3) µm, one-celled, with several medium size and small LB's (LC 4), smooth, hyaline. Paraphyses not observed.
Any idea what this could be?

Beste regards,
Bernard
