Pleospora orbicularis
Dragiša Savic, 19-05-2014 09:01
Hi everyone. This Pleospora species I found on the twigs of Colutea arborescens.
I think it's P. orbicularis. I did not have the key but I see in ascofrance database. http://www.ascofrance.fr/search_recolte/2495

Am I right?

Re : Pleospora orbicularis

Hi,

I think your fungus is not P. orbicularis. If you compare ascospores, you should see that they are different.  They remind me more those of Chaetoplea pusilla, for example. Perhaps that  you should look at this genus.

Have you more informations about your fungus ?

Alain

Re : Pleospora orbicularis
Hi Alain,
Walter Jaklitsch saw my post and asked me to send him a sample.
It assumes that is the Thyridium. I sent him a sample today, we'll see.

It's ok, your fungus are in very good hands, and ascospores look like those of Thyridium, in fact.
