Re : Yellow asco on rabbit dung
Hello Norbert,
With this bright yellow colour and spore size, could this be S. citrinus?
pS I thought it was mature. I already saw it 3 days ago and it wasn't changing

Re : Yellow asco on rabbit dung
Hello Ralph,
sometimes in moist chamber the development stops.
Mature ascospores of Saccobolus have to be purple!
And they form a typical cluster.
Maybe that your species is S. citrinus, but you can't be sure, because there are some similar species.

Re : Yellow asco on rabbit dung
hello Norbert,
Even if I found S citrunus 3weeks ago, but because of the fact that I thought it was mature and I didn't see aan clustered purple spores, I thought I might be another genus.
