Hi everybody,Found on dead stems of Vaccinium myrtillus, this small but beautiful ascomycetes.
Ascomata: smooth, orange yellow, barrel-like, in groups: 0,15 mm. wide and 0,18 mm. high.
Asci: 40 – 45 x 5 µm. J-
Spores: 13 – 16 x 3 – 4 µm, 1 septe, I think 4-spored
I need your help. I have no idea what this could be.
Regards,
Piet
Hi Piet,
It's a Bionectriaceae, probably an Hydropisphaera species, perhaps H. arenula.
Let's wait Christian's opinion.
Alain
I think your fungus could be the genus Ijuhya.
Could you please to end it to me?
Thank you,
Christian
Thank you Alain and Christian. I send it today.
Regards
Piet
I received your specimen, the ascospores are 18.5-20(-21) x 3-3.5 µm, spinulose.
So, it is Ijuhya parilis (H. Sydow) Samuels.
Thank you for this sending.
Regards,
Christian
