On the inner bark of Crataegus

Hi to all

My friend F.J. Balda sent to me these gregarious, very small, turbinate, white to amber apothecia growing on the inner bark of Crataegus together with Orbilia xanthoguttulata.

I don't know a good genus for this fungus that maybe reminds me the callorioid fungi. Asci IKI negative, with croziers. Paraphyses with clavate tips and without Vb's. Excipulum with + or - roundish hyaline cells. Marginal 'hairs' hyaline, clavate, smooth, with any content.

Have you any idea?

Many thanks again

Re : On the inner bark of Crataegus
I think it is Cistella chlorosticta which I found with warted as well as smooth hairs.

Hi Erique and Zotto,

Is Cistella mali not another possibility taking into account spore length and substrate?

Yes indeed, Bernard, though I am not convinced that the two taxa belong to diferent species. In my folder of mali the spores are 2-3 µm wide.

So Enrique's find fits my mali in spore length and my chlorosticta in width....

Re : On the inner bark of Crataegus
Thank you Zotto and Bernard. It's a very curious Cistella species with smooth hairs!
