Hi!
I tentatively determined this observation as Nectria peziza. Traits fit well to my understanding. Does exist something similar I am not aware off? Your help is appreciated very much.

your fungus is clearly a member of Hydropisphaera peziza complex, there are several species belonging to this group. I'm working on this complex . It would be interesting to examine your collection if you could send it to me at:

Thank you very much in advance

Hi Christian,
Unfortunately I've already sent the sample to Mycotheca and lichen herbarium (LJU-Li) of Slovenian Forestry Institute in Ljubljana, Index Herbariorum LJF. I will contact people there and ask for a piece of it. When I get it back I will send it to you. May be they will be also prepared to send it directly to you. Anyway, I will do my best to help you. I am very curious :-)
