Hello.A cerebriform ascomycete sprouting scattered
Helle everybody,
First of all I want to wish all of uoy a Merry Christmas.
Now my question. Ik wonder if this could be Coniochaete tetraspora? The frb. was for the half in the dung and nearly coverd with hairs. The measure of the hairs were between 24 and 45 µm. The measure of the spores were 12-13-14-15x 6-7-9-10 µm with a germ split over the spore.
I don't know what I do wrong. I fixed the pictures to 100 kb, very small to see here. And when I uploaded them I get an Error. Can someone gave met the solution of my problem.
Thanks Hannie

as Jacques Fournier has said on ASCOFrance: "Coniochaeta is a genus apparently poorly known, with the most common species being Coniochaeta sp."
C. tetraspora is one of the species with only four spores surviving in the asci (hence the name), so I don't think this can be it. Do you have access to:
Coniochaeta ershadii, a new species from Iran, and a key to well-documented Coniochaeta species in Nova Hedwigia 84?
if not let me know and I can send you a PDF . . . .
With regard to image size I regularly post images with size between 300Kb and 500Kb with no problems; perhaps your problem comes from the way you downsized them? An error message following uploading occurs with me every so often, but everything is actually almost always OK
I hope that helps
Prettige Kerstdagen en een gelukkig Nieuwjaar!
Chris

This genus is very difficult and often find myself unable to put a name to a harvest. We must find a lot and often to lighten a little some harvest.
Chris, can you also send me the paper Coniochaeta ershadii, I have the 82 but not 84 with the latter species and key.
Thank you.
Michel.

Thanks in advance,
björn
Hello Chris,
thank you for the answer. I forgot to mention that I found this on hare dung. And no I dont; have accest to Coniochaeta ershadii. I would be pleased if you could sent it to me. Besides I'm curious about it.
Ook een gelukkig Nieuwjaar, en voor alle anderen ook natuurlijk.
Groeten
Hannie

I just send you the documentation!
Michel

I just sent it to you

I'm interested too
Can you send me a copy?
Thanks again

Chris
Hello, This week I send the Haredung to H. Lemmers. He examined it and came to this conclusion,
Coniochaeta ligniaria, also descibed as C. discospora.
Best wishes Hannie
