Re : Dasyscyphella sp. de Madeira
Hi Iglesias,
Did you notice that there are paraphyses in your fungus which look very much like those of Marcus Yeo's post on this forum 2 days ago ?
Hairs also look like those in Colipila.
Amitiés
Michel

Re : Dasyscyphella sp. de Madeira
Incredible this coincidence!
yesterday we had the same species on this forum, Colipila masduguana. Known so far only from France.
What other trees were there around that could be the substrate? Laurus would be new, while Castanea and Quercus were the main substrates.
Strange enough, the genus Colipila turned out to be unrelated to the Lachnaceae from its rDNA. I still doubt a bit this result, but such a strong similarity of hairs and paraphyses is actually unkbnown in the Lachnaceae.

Thank you very much, the wood is not known but in forest of laurisilva with Laurus novocanariensis, Ocotea foetens, Myrica faya, Apollonias barbujana ... it was the laurisilva that was prevailing in the zone. I attach a photo where there are seen leaves of the surrounding trees.
Another thing, teneis more information ó some article about Colipila masduguana?
