nice Hyphomycet
Björn Wergen, 29-01-2012 01:37
Björn WergenHi

does anybody know this nice hyphomycet? I remember that I have seen this species somewhere on photos, but I cannot find them. Perhaps you have an idea.

Found in the hymenium of Athelia sp. growing on Pinus.

regards,
björn

What about Cirrenalia lignicola? Could this be?

Re : nice Hyphomycet
Hi Björn,
maybe you would have to consider the genus Zalerion Moore & Meyers or Troposporella Karsten.

All the best,
Christian

Hi Kazama,
Probably an Helicoma. Yes, you have seen a discussion in this forum. Try to find it with "Research in the entire site".
To find its name, you will give more informations about conidiogenous cells, conidiophores and conidies. Several Helicoma can fit with such conidies.

Re : nice Hyphomycet
Hi,

thank you very much for help. With the key in Goos, Mycologia 78 (1986), I come to Helicoma ambiens with conidia < 10 septa, conidiophores less than 6µm wide and basal cell of conidia u-shaped.

regards,
björn
