Hi,I recently collected a discomycete on Hieracium umbellatum with following characteristics:
Apothecia gregarious, disk-shaped, sessile, disk plano-convex, 0,4-0,65 mm diam.; hymenium olivaceous yellow to olivaceous grey-brown; in strong contrast to the receptacle which is blackish brown up to the smooth margin. Asci cyl.-clav., 8-sp., sp. 2-ser., porus IKI-, 94x8-9 µm, arising from croziers. Spores fusiform, straight to slightly curved or inequilateral, with narrowlyu rounded ends, smooth, hyaline, aseptate, 15,5-18x2,5-4 µm, with two large and many small LB's, LC=4-4,5.
Paraphyses slender, base 1,5-2 µm diam., septate; apices capitate and 5,5-7 µm diam., forming an epithecium, covered by brown gel. Ectal excipulum of hyaline gelatinised textura prismatica in a +/-45° angle to the surface, end cells covered by brown gel.
Any idea what this could be?
Best regards,
Bernard Declercq
