Dear Jakob
without free spores impossible to say. But you don't say anything about the colour. Wasn't it bright yellow when fresh? I suspect it is Lambertella tengii which is a Hymenoscyphus with scutuloid spores. But there the spores are only 17-25, rarely 32 µm long. I called it Hymenosc. "chloroscyphus", a nom. prov.
You had it last year in the Tessin, on Cryptogramma crispa.

Re : Asco on Athyrium filix-femina
Dear Zotto
The color of fresh ascos on the substrate was mor or less yellow. When dry is becoms brownish and dark brown especially on top of the fruitbody. When really dry it is nearly black. You are rigth, about my collction of last year. A am going to find some ripe spores.
Thanks and
all the best
Jakob
