What is this found in NY state, Helotiaceae?
Garrett Taylor, 08-03-2019 02:52
Garrett Taylor<.5 mm Black ridged cups on decorticated wood in a dry spot on top of hill/ridge ~670m, likely red or chestnut oak. Swollen brown-tipped paraphyses. Spores were around 25 ?m X 5 ?m, one ascus was around 120 ?m, 8-spored, three septa easily visible in Meltzer's, multi guttulate. No Lugol's sorry. No blue though. I was looking at Durella macrospora in Peter I. Thompson, but it didn't seem right the more I pursued it. Spores and ascus seemed bigger.

This reminds me of Durella melanochlora in Europe, especially because of the paraphyses,  but the spores are much too long.
