            Re : Otidea tuomikoskii?
Hi, in my opinion isn't O. tuom. The spores size in litt. is 10-11 x 5,5-6,5 by Van VOOREN et al. (2008, 2014, 2015), Carlos 9,5-11 x 5,4-6,7...and I see not different color between outer surface (brownish, distinct furfuraceous) and the hymenial layer (yellowish).
Greetings Peter.

                Re : Otidea tuomikoskii?
                Hello,
I second Peter in his opinion that this is not O. tuomikoskii (neither O. papillata which is nearly undistinguishable IMO). Your Otidea seems to have a smooth outer surface and seems to grow single, whereas O. tuomikoskii mostly grows in group and often fasciculate. The shape doesn't suite too well and the unicoloured aopthecia don't look right either, as Peter already mentioned.
all the best,
Andreas

                Re : Otidea tuomikoskii?
                Hello,
did you check the chemical reactions of surface exudates with Melzer + reaction of both exudates and the whole section in KOH? In O. tuomikoskii the whole excipulum turns yellowish in KOH. In the rest of small-spored species the surface exudates (incrustations on surface hyphae) have different reaction in Melzer, changing slowly (in a minute or two) to rounded drops in some species or negative in other.

            Re : Otidea tuomikoskii?
Thanks for the comments. I didn't check the chemical reactions, but that's good to know. Maybe this is just a boring old O. leporina.
