Asci with eight spores. Spore measurements:
(6.7) 7.2 - 8.2 (9.1) × (1.8) 1.81 - 2.1 µm
Q = (3.5) 3.6 - 4.27 (4.3) ; N = 10
Me = 7.8 × 2 µm ; Qe = 4
Fungi of Temperate Europe mentions that P. rubrotinctum should have four spores per ascus. But asco-sonneberg.de says eight and in centrodeestudiosmicologicosasturianos.org the asci also seem to have eight spores. When I examined the sample the spores seemed to be in two rows and sometimes gave the impression of 4-spored asci. So... could this be P. rubrotinctum or is there another possibility?

Re : Psilachnum again
Surely this is P. rubrotinctum. I also saw it only 8-spored (see my folder, I have it for the moment in Cistella, Hyaloscyphaceae).
There exists a very similar large-spored species (12-16 x 2,2-3 vs. 6-10 x 1.4-2.2) without a name, and only from this exist sequences as far as I know.
What is Fungi of Temperate Europe?

Re : Psilachnum again
Alright, thanks again! Fungi of Temperate Europe is a new, large 2-part book by Thomas Laessoe and Jens H. Petersen that contains thousands of species of fungi of all kinds, including a fairly nice amount of little ascos. I've been using it recently to help with identifications.
The book mentions this being a nemoral species and the northernmost finding on GBIF website is from middle UK. I didn't find the species in the Finnish list of species (at least with this name). Maybe this is a fairly northern finding.

Re : Psilachnum again
Ah, sorry, we have that book actually, but as we are not at home this week it was out of my scope.
Strange about this mention of 4-spored asci.
