Hello,I found this Ascobolus on horse dung yesterd
This week I received, by email, four photos of a find on a lichen (Xanthoria parietina). The round conidia (?) have a diameter of 11 to 13 µm. I myself have too little knowledge of lichens or zygomycota. Can someone put my friend on the right track for determination of this brown anamorph? I think the marked areas on photo 03 and 05 are contamination (maybe Trematosphaeria wegeliniana).
Any hints are welcome, thank you very much,

Xanthoriicola physciae has conidia with a diameter of about 5 µm (for this find that's +/- 12 µm) and the appearance of the fungus is too different from the linchenicolous fungi you suggest. I myself do not have the find in my possession. It seems best to give the solutions, offered by you, to the finder so he can better judge the material.
I will report any reaction from the finder on the forum.
